Dr. Tai Sung Kim Endowed Scholarship
Dr. Tai Sung Kim started his career at LCC in 1968. He was the longtime director of International Programs at LCC. Working with former LCC President Philip Gannon and Mr. Megumi Shigematsu, they developed the Japan Adventure Program, which offered life-changing experiences in Japan for students at LCC. Dr. Kim was bestowed the title of Professor Emeritus upon his retirement from LCC in 2006 by the Lansing Community College Board of Trustees.
Qualifications
- Recipients shall be enrolled in either a Health Careers or Education program of study at LCC
- Recipients shall be in-district residents
- Scholarship recipients must maintain a minimum GPA of 2.0
- Primary preference shall be given to applicants who demonstrate financial need
