Joan E. Hartwig

Joan and William (Bill) Hartwig met at Detroit Lutheran High School and are both graduates of Michigan State University. They were married on July 7, 1956. He retired as an Assistant Division Administrator for the MDOT Bureau of Transportation Planning. Joan retired from Lansing Community College where she served as a Counselor and Post-Secondary Articulation Coordinator.

Joan and William Hartwig Endowed Scholarship was established to support LCC students who are enrolled in the Transfer Program and intend to transfer to another Michigan College or University.
