Japan Adventure Alumni Endowed Scholarship

For 35 years, since 1982 through 2017, Lansing Community College and Keihan/Biwako Kisen Co. continued successful student work-study programs in Japan. The first program, the Japan Adventure, started in 1982 and ended in 2006. New programs succeeded it: the Japan Experience in 2007 and the Japan Immersion in 2011. The Japan Immersion program ended in November 2017. The Japan Horizon program was started in 1988 with Keihan Fisherman’s Wharf, which ended in 1995. Over 650 students and 60 faculty advisors participated in these programs.

Qualifications

  • Recipients shall be international students
  • If no international student is eligible, non-international students must study International Business at LCC
  • Recipients may be enrolled as a full-or part-time student
  • Recipients shall have and maintain a minimum 2.0 GPA
  • Financial need will be considered
