GI Julie Nursing Scholarship

Julie Hyde Thompson was a phenomenal mother, daughter, sister, and friend who worked as a gastroenterology nurse for over 30 years. With a seemingly unending capacity for love, compassion and integrity, she inspired people to give selflessly, just as she did every day, exceeding any reasonable expectation for what was possible. The GI Julie Nursing Scholarship honors this legacy by supporting nursing students who share Julie’s dedication to exceptional healthcare and learning.

Qualifications

• Recipients shall be pursing a Nursing degree at LCC
• Recipients shall have and maintain a minimum GPA of 3.0
• Financial need will be considered
