Lynn and Steve Colby Endowed Scholarship

The Colby’s are from the Lansing area and believe education is important. While they were not blessed with children of their own, they want to help as many kids as possible and this fund is just one way. Lynn attended LCC and participated in a study abroad program (Japan). She has volunteered for the LCC Foundation as is an active member of the finance committee. As an engineer and a private pilot, Steve has interest in LCC’s aviation program.

Qualifications

• Recipients shall be enrolled in a Business, Engineering or Aviation program at LCC
• Recipients shall have and maintain a minimum GPA of 3.0
• Preference will be given to applicants who have graduated from Portland High School or Grand Ledge High School
• Preference will be given to female applicants who have minimal parental support
• Financial need will be considered
