The Louise J. Wirbel Journalism Scholarship

In establishing The Louis J Wirbel Journalism Scholarship, Lisa J. Reed and her family honor the legacy established by Louise J. Wirbel as a Journalist and former staff member of Lansing Community College.

To provide financial assistance for Lansing Community College students in the field of Journalism.

Qualifications

• Recipients shall be enrolled in the Journalism program pathway at LCC
• Recipients shall be enrolled in a minimum of 6 credit hours
• Recipients shall have and maintain a minimum GPA of 2.5
• Preference shall be given to minority students who plan to transfer to a 4-year institution
• Financial need will be considered
