Skorna Shooting Stars Scholarship

Kimberly Skorna is a long-time LCC employee who believes in the mission of Lansing Community College and the importance of scholarships in the lives of students. The Skorna Shooting Stars Scholarship was established to support students at LCC in any program, who have a demonstrated history of volunteerism and community service, students who have overcome significant personal obstacles, and students who understand how a scholarship will help them achieve their goals.

Qualifications

• Recipients must be enrolled in at least 6 credits at LCC
• Recipients must have and maintain a minimum 2.0 GPA
• Preference will be given to students who have a demonstrated history of volunteerism and/or community service
• Preference will be given to students who have overcome significant personal obstacles
• Preference will be given to students who articulate how a scholarship will help them achieve their goals at LCC and in the lives
• Financial need will be considered
