Grace Howell Student Nurse Endowment
Grace Howell received her nursing degree from Michigan State at the age of 40. She then worked as a nurse at the psychiatric hospital in Okemos and then moved on to work at Sparrow Hospital. She later taught at LCC in the Nursing Program and went on to become an administrator while at LCC. Grace passed in 1987 from cancer. Her son, Thomas W. Howell and his wife Pat, established the Grace Howell Student Nurse Endowment to honor her work as a nurse and a teacher at LCC.
Qualifications
- Recipient must be enrolled in the Nursing program
- Recipient must maintain at least full-time enrollment (12 or more billable hours)
- Recipient must maintain a 3.0 GPA
- Financial need will be considered
