Alice and Roy Erickson Scholarship
Alice and Roy Erickson have lived in the Lansing area for more than forty years. Alice has been an instructor in the Child Development Program at Lansing Community College for the past 20 years and taught preschool for 30. Roy is a professor emiterus after 40 years at MSU. Both are lifelong educators, thanks, in great part, to the undergraduate scholarships each received. They have a deep belief in education and its ability to change lives and wish to help others as they were helped.
The life-changing power of education begins with high-quality developmentally appropriate early childhood programs that make a crucial impact on a young child’s life. In order for such high-quality programs to develop it is imperative that we train skilled, committed professionals in the field. This scholarship is dedicated to that purpose.
