LCC Student Leadership Academy Service Scholarship
The Lansing Community College Student Leadership Academy Service Scholarship Program is a unique introductory leadership development experience involving theory and practice. The program uses the Phi Theta Kappa International Honor Society’s Leadership Development curriculum which focuses on servant leadership, community service and on-campus engagement to produce highly skilled and experienced graduates in the areas of leadership and service. This is a two year renewable scholarship.
Award recipients must attend a mandatory Scholarship Acceptance and Program Orientation (fall), enroll for a assigned leadership development course each fall and spring semester, maintain a minimum 2.5 grade in the leadership courses and a 2.5 overall grade point average. During the 2nd year of the program students will serve as a student representative on the LCC Code of Conduct Panel, attend an LCC Board of Trustees meeting, and complete an approved individual 10 hour service project each semester.
