Christel Marschall Memorial Scholarship
Christel Marschall attended the University of Cincinnati for her BS and MS degrees in Chemistry, and, as a Fulbright Scholar received a Ph.D. in Zoology from the University of Goettingen. She conducted post-doctoral research in neural physiology at the Max Planck Institute in Germany and behavioral endocrinology at Michigan State University. She later became a full professor at Lansing Community College where she taught anatomy and human physiology. She enjoyed advising and working with her students, as well as other young people through the Science Olympiad and the Supporters of Okemos Science. She was a member of the Society for Neuroscience and several other scholarly organizations and served as a regional director for the Michigan Science Teachers Association.
Qualifications
- Recipient must be enrolled in the Biology program at LCC
- Recipient must be enrolled in a minimum of 6 credits
- Recipient must maintain a 2.5 GPA
- Recipient must maintain LCC In-District residency
- Financial need will be considered
