Shirley Robson Hanna Scholarship

This scholarship fund has been established by Shirley Robson Hanna and Richard E. Hanna to honor the lifelong commitment of Shirley Hanna to the nursing profession and to make it possible for others to enter the nursing profession. Shirley’s family has been in the Bath community for generations. Both of her parents are graduates of Bath High School as she is. Shirley and Richard feel a deep commitment to helping students from Bath High School, as well as other smaller more rural high schools, achieve academic and professional success that they are willing to work for, but need financial assistance to make possible. This scholarship’s intent is to supplement the recipient’s academic and financial investment in their nursing future.

Qualifications

• Scholarship recipients must be enrolled in the Nursing Program at Lansing Community College
• Recipient must carry a minimum of 10 credits
• Recipient must maintain a minimum cumulative 3.0 GPA
• Preference will be for graduates of Bath High School
• Second preference will be for graduates of Laingsburg, Morrice or Perry High Schools
• Financial need will be considered
