Tournament of Friendship Scholarship
The “Tournament of Friendship” was established in 1982 to help facilitate the dialogue between minority communities and police agencies, and to provide scholarships to deserving underrepresented students to help them complete their studies in Public Safety/Service at Michigan State University, Lansing Community College, and Davenport University.
Qualifications
- Scholarship recipients must be enrolled in the Law Enforcement, Fire Academy, Fire Science, Corrections, or Emergency Medical Services Program
- Recipients must carry a minimum of 12 credits
- Recipients must maintain a minimum cumulative 2.0 GPA
- Recipients must reside within Shiawassee, Livingston, Ingham, Clinton, or Eaton County
- Minority applicants are encouraged to apply
