John P. Dyer Memorial Scholarship
The John P. Dyer Endowed Memorial Scholarship Fund was established with the Lansing Community College Foundation in memory of John. John was a 1980 graduate of Lansing Everett High School and served with the Lansing Fire Department for 25 years, as a firefighter, paramedic, and as Battalion Chief. The purpose of the John P. Dyer Endowed Memorial Scholarship is to perpetuate John’s dedication to the safety and well-being of our mid- Michigan area; a task he held proudly every day as an EMS and Lansing Firefighter.
Qualifications
- Scholarship recipients must be enrolled in the Fire Science or Emergency Medical Services Program at Lansing Community College,
- Recipients must reside within Michigan
- Recipients must carry a minimum of 9 credits
- Recipients must maintain a minimum cumulative 3.0 GPA.
- Financial need will be considered.
