Thakor and Taru Shah
Dr. Dinesh Shah merged with God on May 12, 2013. He was born in Dabhoi, India on June 2, 1948. He moved to Lansing, MI in 1980 and as a cardiologist, he saved and improved many lives, practicing for over 30 years. Dinesh was highly revered and loved by his patients. He was a respected and active member of the local Indian community as well as the broader Lansing community. Sahaj Marg meditation was an important part of his life and he traveled far and wide to fulfill and grow on his spiritual journey. He encouraged and supported his daughters to pursue higher education and created fellowships for those who didn’t have such access. Dinesh loved spending time with his grandkids, travelling around the country and the world, and playing tennis and golf. He was known for his deep generosity, resilience, resourcefulness, quirky sense of humor, rigorous work ethic and integrity. In his life, he overcame remarkable obstacles to create a meaningful career and rich home life filled with many friends and family. While he is no longer with us, his accomplishments, impact, and spirit will always live on.
