Harold "Hal" F. Gross

Harold “Hal” F. Gross was a Lansing radio and TV pioneer, and former president of Gross telecommunications. He received a license for Lansing’s first radio station in 1934. In 1948, he received a license for the first television station outside of Detroit “WJIM-TV”, now WLNS-TV. Hal established the Hal Gross Communications Scholarship to support LCC students pursuing their education in telecommunications and communications.
