Friends and Colleagues of Kevin Bubb
Kevin Bubb was the Chief Information Officer at Lansing Community College until his retirement at the end of 2020 and has been working in information technology for 45 years. He began as an entry-level COBOL programmer for the Federal Reserve. Over the years, he advanced to systems analyst and manager positions, primarily at manufacturing firms like Fruehauf, ProCoil, and Baxter Healthcare. Before joining LCC, he was the Director of Enterprise Application Services at Eastern Michigan University. As LCC’s CIO, he is a key member of the College’s collaborative Executive Leadership Team. He provided senior leadership in the areas of information technology, management of technology systems, planning and development, and human resource development. Kevin was also an active member of the LCC Academic Senate from its creation until 2019. Kevin earned his Bachelor’s and Master’s degree in Business at Michigan State University (Go Green!) and has an Information Technology Infrastructure Library certification.
The Kevin Bubb Scholarship was established by his friends and colleagues at Lansing Community College to honor Kevin’s commitment to LCC and the students that IT serves. The scholarship supports students in the Computer and Information Technology (CIT) program who are 1st-generation college students. Preference will be given to students underrepresented in the field of Information Technology.
