Ann C. Snyder
The Ann C. Snyder, Health Careers Endowment Fund is established for two Ann C. Snyder’s, a mother and daughter who were both very involved in the health field. The mother (a wife and mother of four) volunteered to many organizations throughout her life; including 45 years at Sparrow Hospital, lunch and meal programs through her church and the American Red Cross. The daughter, who never expected to go to college, graduated from Lansing Community College in 1971 and then continued her education ultimately receiving a Ph.D. in Exercise Physiology from Purdue University. The daughter has spent the past 30+ years teaching courses at the university level in exercise, nutrition, and health; while also volunteering and helping families in the community. Without the support of the mother and the rest of the family, none of this would have occurred. The donors would hope that similar type of individuals, those wanting to help others, would be supported by the scholarship.
